The joy of temporary community

In the world of ‘Christian camping’ there’s an expression that keeps on popping up: ‘temporary community.’

It’s a great way to describe what happens when a group goes away to effectively ‘live’ together at the one place at the one time.

Our theology drives us to see our gatherings around the word of God by the Spirit of God as a genuine ‘slice of heaven’, and when we join together for these occasions, we so often see great fruit from the time away.

My prayer is that we will be able to get nearly all of our church people away to our Weekendaway on 21-23 March next year at Nowra, and that as we do it, we will enjoy the great experience of loving and being loved by others.

Please put the dates away in your diary, and be assured that if you think that money will be a reason you potentially can’t make it, that we will make sure you’re able to come.
