New Series next week – Power in Weakness

Next Sunday we begin our all-new Bible Talk series from 2 Corinthians, entitled ‘Power in Weakness’. Next week Jodie will kick us off with a talk from 2 Corinthians 1:1-11 on the topic, ‘The God of all comfort’. This 18-week series will go through to the end of November, then after a break over summer, we’ll continue the series from February through to April.

Seniors Service and Lunch

Our next Senior’s Service and Lunch is happening this Monday on the 7th of October at 11am at the church. It’s the Monday of the long-weekend, which might make it even easier for you to bring along an older friend or family member. Be there!

Ladies’ Dinner

Our next Ladies’ Dinner is on Tuesday night 15th October at the church. Our speaker is Helen Rienits, who will be speaking on the topic, ‘No Ordinary Love’ from Romans 8:28-39. The price is $6 per person payable at the door. For more details visit oakflatsanglican.com/ladiesdinner

Green day next Sunday

Next week is our next ‘Green Day’ on Sunday the 13th October. We’re meeting together at 11am on Sunday to head out in our green ‘Oak Flats Anglican’ shirts to put brochures in letterboxes… followed by an informal sausage sizzle and prayer time. We’d love you to join us for this community-building event!

Guest Preacher – Graham Errington

We are delighted to welcome back to Oak Flats Anglican our former minister, Graham Errington as a guest preacher on Sunday 20th October. Graham will be speaking at both our 9am and 5pm services on the topic ‘The God who says “yes”‘ from 2 Corinthians 1:12-2:13.

Weekendaway 2014 – Are you coming?

On the weekend of 21st to 23rd March next year we’re heading away together to the beautiful ‘Waterslea’ site in Nowra for a great Bible teaching, prayer, and lots of opportunities to informally spend time together across the ages of our church. Our guest speaker is Mark Thompson, the Principal of Moore Theological College. If you have not already indicated your initial intentions on a Comment Card please do so today, if possible.
