Finding real hope

What are you looking forward to?

Maybe it’s retirement? Maybe it’s life after exams? Maybe it’s the birth of your child or your grandchild? Maybe it’s your upcoming holidays?

You might sometimes feel that there is little for you to look forward to. When this is the case, life can be really tough.

As the Russian novelist Dostoyevsky once said, “to live without hope is to cease to live.”

No matter how great our wealth or health, it’s all meaningless if there is nothing to look forward to.

In the letter of 1 Peter, we see the real hope that is found in the real Jesus, and we are reminded that there is something genuine to look forward to.

As we read in some of the opening verses, “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,  and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade.” (1 Peter 1:3-4)

If you are finding it hard to hold onto real hope, then please join us as we begin our 18-week series on the Bible’s book of 1 Peter.

Together we will look forward to the coming of Jesus with hearts full of hope!
