Church News for the week beginning 27th March 2016

Job Bible talk series continues

Today we continue our series on the Old Testament book of Job as Jodie preaches from Chapters 20 and 21 with the title, “Mythbusting Wickedness”.

Our newest Parish Councillors

Join us in giving thanks to God for the willingness of Ruth Eton and Judith Harrington to serve as the Senior Minister’s nominees on Parish Council.

Weekendaway is next week!

Today is the very last day to register for next weekend’s church holiday on 1st to 3rd April at Waterslea, near Nowra. We need to tell Youthworks our numbers by 9am Tuesday morning. Please do everything you can to join us, as it’s set to be a very special time away. Bill Salier has prepared some terrific talks, and we’re praying that God will feed us in a powerful way as the Word is preached.

Remember – if you can’t afford to pay, we have people who will subsidise your fees. Money has already been given, so please come and join us!

Service changes for next Sunday

Due to the Weekendaway, next Sunday morning at 10am we have an informal service led by Grahame Scarratt. Our evening service will not be running this weekend.

Men’s Dinner

Tuesday night 5th April is our next Men’s Dinner. Our speaker is Lionel Windsor, on the topic of “Seeking work God’s way”. 6.30pm at the Central Hotel Function Room.

Office security

To assist with office security, please ensure that our doors remain closed when groups and services are not meeting.

Giving update

Each week we need to receive [olimometer_target id=3] in order to meet our commitments. In the last calendar month, our average weekly giving was [olimometer_progress id=3], leaving a gap of [olimometer_remaining id=3].

Up to the end of the last calendar month we needed to have received [olimometer_target id=1]. Compared to that total we received [olimometer_progress id=1], leaving a gap of [olimometer_remaining id=1].

Electronic giving is a great way to give! It helps us prayerfully plan our giving, and then the bank will help us keep that commitment, even when we may be unable to attend.
