Church news for the week beginning 24th March 2019

Today’s Talk

Today Stephen Fifer continues our series ‘Remember These Things!’, with the next talk titled, “Belonging to the People of God”, Matthew 16:13-20 and Ephesians 4:1-16.

Annual General Meeting

We give thanks to God for our new office holders in 2019. Our Wardens are Geoff Kyngdon, Phil Pratt, and David Crook. Our Parish Counsellors are Ashleigh Browne, Harley Mills, Jenny Orange, Andy Peters, Peter Taylor and John Wilson.
We did not need to hold any elections for nominators as the Minister position is currently vacant. Therefore our Nominators remain Judith Harrington, Harley Mills, Valerie O’Regan, Andy Peters and Cynthea Smith. Our Synod Representatives also continue to be Geoff Kyngdon and Robert Hannam.

Parish Council

Our new Parish Council meets this Tuesday, 26th March at 7.00pm. Please remember them in your prayers.

Elvanto’s new look

On Tuesday 26th March, ELVANTO will be switching to a new user interface. It is not a major change in terms of use, but largely a colour and spacing change.

Q&A

You might have noticed that we haven’t been having Q&A time recently. This is because no questions have been submitted. However Stephen will take time during his sermon to have an informal question time. Please feel free to submit any questions via comment card or contact the office.

BCA Boxes due

If you’ve been collecting coins for Bush Church Aid (BCA) please return them for counting as March is the collection month.

New Rosters

New rosters are out now. If you need a paper version, grab one from the information table, or otherwise log onto www.oakflatsanglican.net to see what dates and roles you are scheduled for.

Giving update

Each week we need to receive [olimometer_target id=3] in order to meet our commitments. In the last calendar month, our average weekly giving was [olimometer_progress id=3], leaving a gap of [olimometer_remaining id=3].[olimometer id=3]Up to the end of the last calendar month we needed to have received [olimometer_target id=1]. Compared to that total we received [olimometer_progress id=1], leaving a gap of [olimometer_remaining id=1].[olimometer id=1]

Electronic giving is a great way to give! It helps us prayerfully plan our giving, and then the bank will help us keep that commitment, even when we may be unable to attend. To use your MasterCard or Visa to make a one-off donation or to set up regular giving, then securely provide your details by clicking on this link.
Or, to give by direct transfer then these are the details: [NEW BANK ACCOUNT] BSB: 633-000.  Account number: 164 385 841. Account name: Oak Flats Anglican.
