- Who we are
- What we do
Mark 13 is talking about the most earth-shattering event in history… the brutal execution of Israel’s own Messiah, at the hands of the very people he loved.
And as we carefully consider this dramatic chapter, we will see afresh how the cross of Christ is at the heart of human history… and that everything in life stands or falls because of that day.
Over the past few weeks we have seen pictures on our screens that have led us to shock and sadness.
The evidence that President Assad has fired chemical weapons on his own people shows the deep chaos that has crippled Syria as the country suffers from the effects of long-term civil war.
Now it seems that it will be an anxious wait for the Assad government as the imminent threat of attack from the United States hangs over its head.
Let us join in prayer for the people of Syria, asking God to lead them all through this crisis to turn to Jesus, leading the leaders to rule in justice and in truth, and restraining the evil that is unfolding before our eyes.
Pray that the Christians in the country and amongst the refugees will have a strong and powerful witness to their fellow citizens, and that through this ongoing tragedy, the name of Jesus would be glorified.
