Church news for the week beginning 8th July 2018

Today’s Bible talk

Today Jodie begins a mini-series called ‘The gospel at GAFCON’, with the first talk titled ‘The gospel is God’s power’ from Acts chapter 4 verses 1 to 12.

Chaplins away

Simon and his family are now on leave and will return on Friday 20th July.

Children’s and youth programs in holidays

Our normal children’s and youth programs take a break until 29th July. We will be running a light holiday program during our 5pm service for the next few weeks. Parents and carers are required to accompany their children for the whole service, then during the bible talk, the children will attend a combined program.

Real Kids Day!

On the Monday 23rd July it’s our big ‘Real Kids Day!’ For kids aged K to 6. This is a great day to invite families with kids to our church. Registration is now open at www.oakflatsanglican.com/realkids.

Working Bee

A very special THANK YOU to all of our volunteers who came last Saturday and helped out at the working bee – the grounds and building look great!

Giving update

Each week we need to receive [olimometer_target id=3] in order to meet our commitments. In the last calendar month, our average weekly giving was [olimometer_progress id=3], leaving a gap of [olimometer_remaining id=3].[olimometer id=3]Up to the end of the last calendar month we needed to have received [olimometer_target id=1]. Compared to that total we received [olimometer_progress id=1], leaving a gap of [olimometer_remaining id=1].[olimometer id=1]Electronic giving is a great way to give! It helps us prayerfully plan our giving, and then the bank will help us keep that commitment, even when we may be unable to attend.
