Power in weakness – 2 Corinthians returns
Next Sunday we return to our 18-week series on the New Testament letter of 2 Corinthians, as we see what the Bible teaches us about how God shows his power through weakness. Our speaker is Bishop Peter Hayward.
Official welcome of the Hotsons next week
Next Sunday 2nd February, we officially welcome Adam Hotson to our team as our Assistant Minister, and give thanks to God for Anita and their kids Nick, Noah and Chloe.
Our guest preacher for the occasion is Bishop Peter Hayward, who will be speaking both in the morning and evening on the topic, ‘God’s servants’ as we look at 2 Corinthians 5:20-6:10.
Maybe it’s the great food, or the terrific Bible teaching, or the rich fellowship, or even the awesome waterside, but whatever excuse you need, don’t miss out on our awesome church retreat on the weekend of 21st to 23rd March. Only seven weekends to go until we head away together to the beautiful ‘Waterslea’ site in Nowra, to hear great talks from our guest speaker is Mark Thompson, Principal of Moore Theological College. Full details and registration forms available shortly.
Our first Men’s dinner for the year kicks off on the 4th February with our special guest, Graham Scarratt. We’re meeting at the church for this night. Bring a friend and prepare for a great night of food, fellowship, and filling with God’s word.
This week many of our regular school-term activities commence, with TOTS playgroup starting on Tuesday morning, Prime Time seniors’ morning tea on Friday, and CHAOS youth group on Friday night.
Seniors’ Service and Lunch
Our first service and lunch is on Monday 10th February at 11am at the church. Plan to come and bring your friends!
