Guest speaker – Phil Pratt
Next Sunday it’s our pleasure to welcome our own Phil Pratt to speak to us from our next section from Mark’s Gospel, ‘The king killed’ (Mark 15:16-41). Please pray for Phil as he continues to prepare, and ask God to help us be challenged again as we see the depth of the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus.
Our next Men’s Dinner is on Tuesday 1st October at Shell Cove Brasserie. Our speaker is Ben Pakula – an event not to be missed! The price is $25 per person (or $16 for pensioners and students), payable at the door. Bookings are essential, and can be made by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or phoning John Wilson on 0439 561 373. RSVP the Sunday night before the Tuesday dinner. Seniors Service and Lunch
Our next Senior’s Service and Lunch is happening on the 7th of October at 11am at the church. It’s the Monday of the long-weekend, which might make it even easier for you to bring along an older friend or family member. Be there!
Green day coming soon
It’s only three weeks until our next ‘Green Day’ on Sunday the 13th October. We’re meeting together at 11am on Sunday to head out in our green ‘Oak Flats Anglican’ shirts to put brochures in letterboxes… followed by an informal sausage sizzle and prayer time. We’d love you to join us for this community-building event!
On the weekend of 21st to 23rd March next year we’re heading away together to the beautiful ‘Waterslea’ site in Nowra for a great Bible teaching, prayer, and lots of opportunities to informally spend time together across the ages of our church. Our guest speaker is Mark Thompson, the Principal of Moore Theological College. More details will be provided soon, but for now please put the date in your diary.
