New Sermon Series – Reasons to live – Psalms for today

Continuing today, we’re in a three-week series on the Psalms entitled, ‘Reasons to life: Psalms for today’. Today’s preacher is John Wilson on Psalm 34 with the topic, ‘Reasons for thanks in an age of suffering’. Next week in the morning only, Geoff Kyngdon is preaching on Psalm 35 on the topic, ‘Reasons for praise in an age of persecution.’

Hotsons moving tomorrow

Adam and Anita Hotson are moving into their new home tomorrow at 12 Honeysuckle Place, Albion Park Rail. Please pray for the move and that they settle in quickly. Adam’s office number is 4231 9514 and his home number is 4231 9515. Adam officially begins ministry with us on the first day of the new year.

Ladies’ Dinner

Our next Ladies’ Dinner is this Tuesday night 17th December and features guest speaker, Les Stewart. It will be held at the church. The price is $6 per person, payable at the door, and bookings are not required. More details at oakflatsanglican.com/ladiesdinner.

Christmas Card Campaign

If you’ve still got Christmas cards that you’ve not yet distributed, please make sure they get into the hands of our community. Time is running out, as they are advertising our Christmas events which begin next Sunday night.

Community Carols Celebration

It’s this coming Sunday night at 5pm, so make sure you’re there and that you’ve invited everyone you can! It starts this Sunday night the 22nd December at 5pm. FREE sausage sizzle… yum!

Summer Series – The Spirit-filled life

Starting on the Sunday after Christmas Day, we’re heading into a ten-talk series over five Sundays, with a different topic at 9am and 5pm. Guest speakers include Roger Kyngdon, Graham Stanton, George Statheos, Tim Orange and Ben Pfahlert, plus talks from Adam and Jodie. We’re looking at the nine aspects of the fruit of the Spirit.
