News and events for the week beginning Sunday 19th April 2015

Welcome to Shord van Donge

One of our four main missionaries, Shord van Donge, will be preaching today and providing an update on his ministry. Our church has been supporting Shord and his wife Ann in their work for around 40 years!

Shord will also be joining us for a special one-night meeting on Monday 20th April at 7.30pm in the church over coffee & supper. Come along and learn more of Shord and Ann’s work in Africa and Australia, ask questions, chat, and generally find out more about their ministry.

New sermon series starts next week!

Next Sunday we begin an 18-week series on the letter of 1 Peter, with the theme, “Real hope!”. Jodie will launch the series with a talk entitled, “Real hope in our real identity”, from 1 Peter 1:1-2.

Ladies’ Dinner

Join us on Tuesday 21st April for our next Ladies’ Dinner, with special guest Michelle Philp. 6.3opm at the church, $6 per person, no need to RSVP. Further details here www.oakflatsanglican.com/ladiesdinner

Changes to Kids’ Club and Andy’s Club

From Term 2 our Kids’ Club moves to Fridays at 4 to 5.30pm. Kids’ Club will now be for school years K to 2 (Infants), and Andy’s Club will now be from school years 3 to 6 (Primary).

Anzac Day march

Join the community of Oak Flats to watch the march from our carpark down to the Bowling Club. The march begins this Saturday at 9am on Anzac Day, followed by a service at the Club at which our church will be represented by the laying of a wreath and by a prayer from Jodie.

Giving update

Each week we need to receive $5,200, and our average in March was $4,111 per week, leaving a deficit of $1,089 per week. Overall for the year, we were $8,112 behind. Please pray that we close that gap and cover the financial needs of our church as we seek to grow the gospel of Jesus. To give by direct debit or Visa or MasterCard visit www.oakflatsanglican.com/give
