Men’s Dinner
Join us on Tuesday 7th April to hear Ben Pakula speak on the topic, “Enduring Hardships” (James 5:10 – 20). We meet at the Golf Club at Shell Cove. Tickets: $29 (Pensioners & Students $20). Bookings essential. Phone 0439561373 or email mensdinner@oakflatsanglican.com
Flawless Bible Tour
This Sunday our church will participate in the ‘Flawless Bible Tour’, as the Anglican Aid team travels around the Diocese in April to read paragraphs of set chapters of the Bible at each church. The purpose is to celebrate the wonderful gift of God’s word that we enjoy and to raise awareness and financial resources for the massive need to train men and women in the Global South to understand and teach the Word of God. They’ll be with us Sunday at 4pm to read Numbers 34 – 36 and Deuteronomy 1 – 2. Why not drop in and read it with them?
Donate to Vanuatu Appeal
Our Parish Council chose for our church to give money to Anglican Aid to help churches ravaged by the recent cyclone in Vanuatu. If you can also give, please go to www.anglicanaid.org.au/news/Vanuatu-Emergency-Appeal or phone 1800 653 903.
Changes to Kids’ Club and Andy’s Club
From Term 2 our Kids’ Club moves to Fridays at 4 to 5.30pm. Kids’ Club will now be for school years K to 2 (Infants), and Andy’s Club will now be from school years 3 to 6 (Primary).
Giving update
Each week we need to receive $5,200, and our average in February was $5,125 per week, leaving a deficit of $75 per week. Overall for the year, we were $2,677 behind. Please pray that we close that gap and cover the financial needs of our church as we seek to grow the gospel of Jesus.
