It’s only a week away from the start of our 8-day Real Hope Week ‘mission’ in conjunction with Moore College.
We’ve got new signs, T-Shirts, brochures, fridge magnets, a new coffee machine, and even jumping castles and slushies! We’re pulling out all the stops to make as much noise as possible in our community.
But why bother? Why go to all the trouble of trying to connect with the community?
The answer is pretty simple. Anyone who doesn’t trust in Jesus as lord and saviour is destined to eternal hell, which is the most awful thing possible. And we have the words of eternal life… so we should be compelled to share them with the world!
But how does this work with our church gatherings, especially the main ones on Sunday? How do they fit into evangelism?
This Sunday’s sermon addresses this very issue… and we’ll see that the same gathering that is designed to strengthen believers will also work to bring unbelievers to come to know Jesus… because God’s word is dual action!
