It’s only a few sleeps till our ‘Family Fun Night’, and already there’s a buzz around the Oak Flats community.
We’ve got lots of people taking the word to the streets, complete with our fancy green t-shirts, with the ‘Get Real’ on the back.
So, if you’re young, have young people in your family, or are young-at-heart, then make sure you turn up at church at 5pm this Sunday night the 24th of March, for what is shaping up to be a highlight of the Oak Flats Anglican calendar.
Dan Wu is going to speak from the Bible on the topic, ‘Finding Real Hope’, and if you’re a person who hasn’t yet worked out what it means to personally follow Jesus, then you won’t find a better way to understand the basics of Christianity and what Jesus is on about.
We’ll also be having some great music, a clown show, plus a bit of time to pray to God about the things that are on our mind.
The kids will go out during the church service for their own, special kids’ program, which will give them a great chance to hang with others their age to hear about how awesome it is to follow Jesus.
Then, after the church service, the family fun will continue with a whole lot of FREE stuff… free sausage sizzle, free jumping castle, free slushies, free face painting, and a free sticky wall (which is like a jumping castle covered in velcro which you throw yourself at whilst wearing special overalls… too much fun!)
So, come along at 5pm (and a bit earlier to make sure you get a seat!) and hang out with us at 35 Fisher Street for a great night!
