Everyone loves something new!

Whether it’s the smell of a new car or the feel of a new haircut, it’s always good to have something new. But cars rust out and hair grows long, and these ‘new’ things don’t stay new very long.

That’s why the promise of a genuinely new heaven and earth is such a staggering promise from Jesus.

In the last two chapters of the whole Bible, Jesus said “I am making everything new!” (Revelation chapter 21 verse 5).

But as the new comes, the old goes away: “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” (verse 4).

When Jesus rose from the dead, he brought the hope of the death of death. And that real hope in the real Jesus will be fully experienced when Jesus returns or he takes his people to be with him.

Do you know Jesus? Are you his friend? Has he forgiven you of your sins?

If you’re not sure, then make sure you join us this Easter Sunday at 9am or 5pm as we look at the final two chapters of the Bible – Revelation Chapter 21 and 22.
