For the first time in 173 years, Jamberoo Anglican is meeting for church on a Saturday!
From this weekend our partner church at Jamberoo will meet each Saturday afternoon at 5pm, followed with the option of dinner.
The service is for people of all ages, and includes a special program for children.
The style is contemporary with a vintage touch, drawing on Anglican traditions, with a live band that brings life to old and new songs.
At the core of the gathering is Bible teaching that seeks to engage with God’s word as he works by his Holy Spirit to show us how Jesus brings us and our world alive with Christ.
This change in day is great for two reasons.
Firstly, it means that Jamberoo Anglican will be serving the community with a church service at a time that is ideal for busy families balancing family, sport and social pressures.
Secondly, it means that our partner church Jamberoo Anglican can share the resources of our church at Oak Flats Anglican by running church services at a time that doesn’t overlap.
Jamberoo will also continue to run the much-loved traditional 8am Sunday service with hymns and prayer book.
We unite with Jamberoo Anglican in praying that their church will grow as a community hub within the village and valley, and that many residents of Jamberoo will gather as they seek to be alive with Christ.
Please pray for our partner church as together we seek to revitalise a long-established institution at the heart of the village of Jamberoo.
