News and events for the week beginning 8th January 2017

Today’s Bible Talk

Today we welcome Graham Errington again, who will be talking on the topic ‘A day in the life of Jesus’ from Mark chapter 1 verses 21 to 39.

McNeills and Chaplins at Summer School

Jodie and his family, plus Simon and his family will be away this week at CMS Summer School. However they are still able to be contacted by email and phone.

New Sermon Series

Our new Assistant Minister, Simon Chaplin, starts a four week series titled “Christ in the Psalms” next week, with the first talk titled ‘The foolish one’ from Psalm 14.

Summer Refuge

Refuge, our group for high schoolers, will be meeting for four weeks for Summer Refuge on Sundays at 4pm here at the church. This starts next week on Sunday 15th January and will run until Sunday 5th February.

CMS donations

Please note that any donations to CMS, via the plate or Direct Credit, that do not specify support for particular missionaries will be directed towards support of the Lovells.

Small monetary donations

Small amounts given via the plate for some missions have been returned as it can cost more to manage them than the value of the gift. Please consider building up a reasonable amount (say $25.00) before making your gifts or may wish to risk sending small amounts of cash via the mail. Where possible we will return small amounts to the donors otherwise the funds will be directed to CMS and the Lovells.

Each week we need to receive [olimometer_target id=3] in order to meet our commitments. In the last calendar month, our average weekly giving was [olimometer_progress id=3], leaving a gap of [olimometer_remaining id=3].

Up to the end of the last calendar month we needed to have received [olimometer_target id=1]. Compared to that total we received [olimometer_progress id=1], leaving a gap of [olimometer_remaining id=1].

Electronic giving is a great way to give! It helps us prayerfully plan our giving, and then the bank will help us keep that commitment, even when we may be unable to attend. To use your MasterCard or Visa to make a one-off donation or to set up regular giving, then securely provide your details by clicking on this link. Or, to give by direct transfer then these are the details. Account name: St Andrew’s Anglican Church. Account number: 00900445. BSB: 062 638.
