Right now, our church is joining with Christians everywhere in trying to stop changes to the definition of marriage.
We believe that redefining marriage will cause harm to our society because we believe that God’s framework of relationships is the best for everyone.
But even though we don’t welcome the proposed changes to marriage, we’re not saying that we don’t welcome people who are LGBTI (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Intersex).
The message of Jesus is something that everyone, everywhere, needs to hear.
Yet, when anyone comes to Jesus, they will need to turn their back on their former life, and follow Jesus and the lifestyle he requires.
Following Jesus is costly for everyone, but the benefits of knowing Christ and his forgiveness are worth it.
Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. (1 Corinthians 6:9-11)
