Last week during church we made the announcement that we would be forming a parish partnership with Jamberoo Anglican Church. This is a great opportunity for the gospel to grow and to share in the gifts that God has blessed each church with. Our hope and prayer is that through this partnership we would be able to encourage each other and share in order that the gospel may grow in both of these areas.
We realise that people will have concerns and questions because change is a scary thing. We want to inform you that this decision has not been done lightly. In Jodie’s absence any questions and concerns should be directed towards Geoff Kyngdon, Harley Mills or Troy Milliken.
Finally, let’s be encouraged by the words of Paul as he spoke of the partnership in the gospel that he forged with the Philippian church when he said:
Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. Philippians 2: 1 – 4
